Bright Lights, Big City!

Put on your best outfit because you're invited to have tea with the Queen. Use your best manners and comb your hair, as one will not be amused if you don't!

What do you know about England's capital city? Let's find out all about London, including its histroy, transport and famous landmarks.

Step back in time and discover what happened in the Great Fire of London. Where did it start? How did it end? Can we recreate Pudding Lane?

But wait!  Someone new has come to town! Lets plan a tour for Marley the Meerkat. (He has come all the way from Zambia). Lets show him all we have learnt about London!

In Spring A, our topic is all about London and exploring all the different landamrks and transport  it has to offer.

To start our topic we are hopping on an in school London bus tour!

We look forward to getting to know you and your child over the year.

PE

We will have PE on Wednesday and ThursdayWednesday is an outdoor session, your child may bring in leggings, tracksuit bottoms or jogging bottoms for this session if they wish. They can put their school sweatshirt ontop. This is weather dependent. Thursday is indoor so t-shirt, shorts and pumps are needed. This session is taught by a VARA sports coach. Please ensure ALL items of clothing that come off/on are named. They all look the same and to a 5 or 6 year old it is important that they know which is theirs.

Homework

Homework is given out every Thursday and will need to be completed and returned by the following Thursday. Homework will include opportunities to practise handwriting, phonics and problem solving skills!
