Year 3 Pine 2018 - 2019
Mrs Claire Winterson Class Teacher
What a super Spring Term we had! I do hope you enjoyed the Spring break and you managed to get out and about in the lovely weather.
This term we are going to be starting new topic, I have been planning exciting lessons and I can't wait to get going!
Support in Class, Wednesday and Thursday Morning Mrs Ellis, Friday Morning Mrs Armour.
We are starting a new topic this half term see if you can guess?
Click the links to find out more before term starts.
That is right our new topic is Heroes and Villians, please read the documents attached to help with home learning on this topic.
As you will see from the attached copy of the timetable, P.E is on Mondays and Tuesdays this year, children will need to bring in their P.E kits on the first day of term and keep them in school until half term. The children need to have a pair of black/navy jogging bottoms and a black/navy hoody and sturdy trainers for out door PE as well as their usual PE kit.
***Please make sure your child has their snack money ready on the first day of the week***
remember you can now use Parent Pay to pay for your child's school lunches online.
Homework is set on Thursdays and is due in on Monday.
Your child will receive spellings and another piece of homework either Maths, English or Topic related.
Spelling books and homework should be handed in on Mondays.
Regular reading throughout the week is also expected and it has a massive impact on your child's progress across all subjects. The children are incentivised on how many times they read. The more times they read at home to an adult, the more raffle tickets the get to go in the prize draw!
The children really enjoy Sumdog (download the free App) and Times Table Rockstars online quizzes, please encourage your child to play the maths games. Both use the same login and passwords, please let me know if your child needs a reminder of their login.
NEWSFLASH ! I have set you a new challenge on Sumdog check it out! See the home learning ideas these will support your child with this topic.
