Year 3 Pine 2017 - 2018
Welcome Mrs Winterson's Class!
Wow! What a super long break we have had. I am looking forward to meeting my new class properly and hearing all about their adventures!
I have lots of new and exciting things planned for this year and I can't wait to start. In the first term, up until Christmas, we will be studying the Stone Age, Bronze and Iron Age with maybe a trip to a local archeological dig site! Without giving too much away, we will also be looking at rocks and soils in science and how different rocks are formed, where to find them and doing lots of experiments to help our understanding.
As you will see from the attached copy of the timetable, P.E is on Thursdays and Fridays this year, children will need to bring in their P.E kits on the first day of term and keep them in school until half term. As winter is coming, children need to have a pair of black/navy jogging bottoms and a black/navy hoody for out door PE as well as their usual P.E kit. Swimming will start after Christmas.
***Please make sure your child has their snack and dinner money ready on the first day of the week***
Date for your diary Tuesday 12th September - Meet the teacher meeting, come and have a chat after school and see what your child will be doing this year, how you can help your child achieve their best and our amazing new classroom. Everyone is welcome and there will be chocolate biscuits! If you are unable to attend come and see me or drop me a note and we can arrange another time.
