Year 4 Cherry 2019 - 2020

Miss Cope

 Welcome to Year 4!

Miss Cope (Class Teacher)            Miss Rowlands (TA)

We have lots of interesting things to learn about during the Autumn term and will start our new topic Road Trip USA very soon. Don't forget to visit our school Facebook and Twitter pages for information and pictures.

As ever we will endeavour to keep you up to date with events, information and resources through our website. If you have any suggestions, please get in touch! For any information on homework and class organisation please see the links on this page. Let's have a wonderful first term together!

P.E.

Please note that PE days are Mondays and Tuesdays, although PE kit should be in school every day. PE kit should include black shorts, school house t-shirt, pumps, trainers, and may also include jogging bottoms/jacket for outfoor lessons.

Reading

Reading books and journals should be in school every day, as our shared reading slot may change. Please note these are checked at least weekly.

Homework

Useful Websites

We encourage your child to remain in touch with current affairs, so that they can stay informed and begin to form opinions about important issues. I highly recommend watching Newsround and discussing the day’s news. There is also a fun weekly quiz.                 http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/

Maths Websites

I will add some useful Maths websites below as we progress through the year and cover different areas of the Year 4 curriculum. By the end of Year 4, pupils should know multiplication and division facts up to 12x12. We will practise this lots in class, but extra practise at home will help too.
