Assessment and performance information

We continue to work together to improve the attainment and progress made by all our pupils. Developing confidence and a love of learning, and working collectively to remove any barriers to learning for our pupils is key.

This year all schools faced new challenges with revised test formats for Y2 and Y6, different ways of assessing writing that did not enable all children to showcase what they could do, and variation in moderation.

We can evidence

  • Good progress from starting points for EYFS and attainment above Local Averages

  • Improving trend in phonics, with end of Y2 scores above national

  • Consistently high KS1 reading standards and progress

  • Good progress made by our Pupil Premium and Special Educational Needs pupils by the end of KS2

  • Scaled scores of 100 or more across reading, maths, SPAG tests at the end of KS2 despite the fact that overall they were not expected to meet national expectations.
