History

At Sutton Green we aim to provide a high-quality history education which will help pupils gain a structured knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world. We aim to inspire pupils’ curiosity to know more about the past. We encourage children to ask questions and think critically. History at Sutton Green supports children's understanding of people’s lives, the process of change throughout the ages.

At Sutton Green we are very proud of our curriculum, bringing topics to life.  As a school we follow Cornerstones Topics which enable a broad and balanced curriculum to be taught across the school. Split into six week topics the children are immersed in relevant, engaging and exiting themes.  See our curriculum policy for further information.

See calendar and News items for more information on these events.... check out our Facebook page and Twitter account. We are welcoming OFSTED to school tomorrow Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th July. Please see the OFSTED Tab for the letter to parents and information
