Year 5 are loving their weekly fitness sessions ........NOT!! Today we discussed why we need strong muscles and then worked on strengthening them.

As part of No Pen Day, Sycamore Class have had a fun practical session in Maths, where they played games to re-cap their Fractions knowledge.

I tried to explain that No Pen Day meant that Year 6 could still do their tests in pencil but I had a mutiny! So instead we had a fun practical fractions lesson - proving that fractions are easy!

Sycamore Class loved testing their boats to see which one was the most streamlined, creating the least amount of water resistance.

Ash - Diwali, PJ party, a crime scene, shapes and Winter disco

Ash class have been very busy over the last few weeks. We have learnt about the festival of Diwali and as part of this we made Diva lamps, Rangoli patterns and firework pictures. Following our Diwali topic we discovered a bit of a mess in Oak Class! We used the clues to find out that it was The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf! In maths we have been learning about shapes and made some amazing shape pictures in the style of the artist Kandinsky. We have also had our exciting Pj party and Winter disco.

Another busy week in Oak Class! Mysterious crime scenes, testing materials to make house for the Three Little Pigs, giant matchstick shapes and a winter disco! Oak Class Fun!
