In science we have been learnign abotu hygiene. We did an experiement to see what happens to germs when we wash our hands with and without soap. Look what happens! 

Oh we used glitter to represent the germs.

In art we have been designing and making maps. This week we used the craft of collaging and decoupage to apply tissuepaper to the laminate sheet. This technique made a stained glass effect. 

Y1&2 Physical or human geography

We have been learning about human and physical features in geography. We walked around school to identfy what features we could see.

We have been designing maps in Art. This lesson was great fun! We were able to design and create maps using objects from around the classroom. We worked as a team and produced some super 3d maps. See what you think.

Year 1&2 No Pens Day

We took part in No Pens Day in school. We took part in lots of practical and SPeaking and listening based activites. We had a great day learning and realising that you dont need to write everything down.

Year 4 visit to Little Sutton Methodist Church

Year 4 enjoyed a visit to Little Sutton Methodist Church. We learned all about the Nativity story and Christingle!

Ash - Diwali, PJ party, a crime scene, shapes and Winter disco

Ash class have been very busy over the last few weeks.  We have learnt about the festival of Diwali and as part of this we made Diva lamps, Rangoli patterns and firework pictures.  Following our Diwali topic we discovered a bit of a mess in Oak Class!  We used the clues to find out that it was The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf!  In maths we have been learning about shapes and made some amazing shape pictures in the style of the artist Kandinsky.  We have also had our exciting Pj party and Winter disco.
